Luxury In Poison UPDATE (Bug fixes, screen update, fixed errors)




FIRST BEFORE WE BEGIN. (PLEASE READ)
I am very, VERY serious about credit. The new changes I will discuss in here will massively come from a material from 'CLIP STUDIO' developed by @/Aqarius.k. I looked up on google to see CLIP STUDIO'S copyright and royalty policies for materials and it mentioned all the materials were free of use. HOWEVER, it just didn't sit right with me that I was using @/Aqurius.k's materials this intensely in my game. THEREFORE, if you know their policies regarding the use of their CLIP STUDIO materials or if you know if they don't want their materials used in commercial products. PLEASE LET ME KNOW AT ONCE, and I'll change it right away. The material used here is an asset by the name of 'Cyber Frames - 2', PLEASE let me know if you have rules regarding commercial use. Naturally, I will credit @/Aquarius.k in the end credits of the game. But just let me know of any policies they might have. (This also applies to the creators of the BG tracks use in the game.) If you don't want me to use your work in this game, I will gladly remove it at once. Thank you.
Regarding changes
So, I released my visual novel "Luxury In Poison" about a week ago and I've had a few of my friends/ family members try it out. These changes are regarding a few things they noticed within the game that I felt needed the most attention to.
Visual Changes
Regarding visual changes. I've updated the looks of the gallery aesthetic, the game menu background and just the overall looks of the menus. The texts should be easier to read now, and it overall should look better than before (I hope). There are also a few changes within the character information sheets. A few details for character views have been changed as well as minor text changes.
The tutorial images have also been updated in order to fit the new visual change in game.
Main Menu background + Main menu stays the same.
Text Changes
One important thing to mention would be changes in texts. The character "Lucien" is purposefully spelled with an "E" and not an "A". However, when I began making the information sheets I had failed to keep it in mind (despite being the creator), so Lucien had been spelled with an "e" in game but with an "A" when mentioned in the information sheets. That has been changed alongside the layout of the information sheets for the male leads + the MC.
A few parts of the dialogue of the prologue were inconsistent. Texts that have parenthesis around them in the main story is there to indict POV character's thoughts, while non parenthesis text are dialogue spoken out. However, some texts have been discovered to not fit that rule and wasn't caught during checking. Those have been fixed. The words "Prime Minister" have been capitalized as it occurred to me it was a title and thus should be capitalized. "Eveling" is also capitalized but one was found to be lowercase, that have also been fixed with additional spelling errors. Inconsistency in narration and POV in the beginning has also been fixed.
Other parts of dialogue that just did not make sense or were not clarified enough have been changed. Naturally, I am still open to change if anything else is confusing. Keep in mind the prologue only contains the basic base of the plot, the more complex things will appear in the final game.
Before the start of the story, the background used in the introduction + tutorial is said to be a bit overwhelming. That have also been changed and now is just a black background.
Fixed Bugs
When playing, Cassyius's CG only appears once when unlocking it and will fail to show up in replays alongside the entire scene + the dialogue. That bug has been fixed. Unfortunately, Icarus's CG will continue to glitch the game a bit when trying to open in the gallery after unlocking due to file size. I recommend you to only click it once and be patient while it loads.
"Autosave", before there was an "Autosave" feature that would save every time you leave the game to do something. Autosave only has 6 slots and fill up quickly due to the weird Autosave system. Due to this, "Autosave" has now been disabled, please remember to save regularly. (If this bothers the gameplay too much then let me know and I'll delete the block autosave function.)
There was also a saved data from a very old version of the game that leads you to an error if you try to open it. That has been removed.
Credits have been updated and added @/Aquarius.k for their assets I used in these changes.
Little changes will be made if I catch more bugs/errors, those will not have a devlog made for them but since there's quite a few changes to this one, I felt obligated to make one.

A bit of news regarding the development of the final game.
I have finished the base script for Chapter 1, and it is currently in editing. Quite a few changes needs to be made to the overall script in the climax of the storyline. Things regarding endings have not been decided.
